Members of the E7 team attended the Michigan Agile & Beyond conference in May to expand their knowledge of the principles and practices that drive companies to success.
Conference speakers focused on topics that encouraged all attendees to understand how a successful company is built. Emphasis was placed on the need to set goals, steps to achieve those goals, and the teamwork required to achieve results.
Andrew Hunt, one of the 17 authors of the Agile Manifesto and founders of the Agile Alliance, introduced “the suck curve,” which illustrates that achieving better things takes time and practice.
Another common theme during the conference was Psychological Safety and how it affects a company’s employees. The concept implies that team members must feel safe taking risks in order to optimize the team’s results.
E7’s team enjoyed the conference, learned a great deal, and will apply the concepts from this valuable experience to help our clients and our own teams reach their goals and go further than ever before.
