It's good to see you too, thanks for being on a call with me.
Pam:
Thank you. See, I just wanted to chat with you about, Atlassian Cloud loyalty discount. A lot of our customers are continuing to want to migrate to cloud, and the 55% discount is now gone. So, I just wanted to chat with you and see what we have available that we can offer in terms of cloud loyalty discount for customers moving from on-prem Atlassian licensing into the cloud.
Sarah:
Sure. Yeah. So, like you said on that discount did end back in July for the 55%, we'd recently made a video on that, but right now they are still offering it less and still offering a 40% discount up until July of next year. However, I'm not sure if you've heard yet, but Atlassian has increased the pricing, for cloud starting October 6. Have you heard anything about that yet?
Pam:
I did. It was kind of a surprise for us to be honest with you. We didn't know that was coming, but it was just announced that their cloud licensing is being increased October the 6th. So, we're trying to work with customers who are interested in moving to the cloud to get those quotes done as soon as possible. So they can acquire those licenses. And I don't know if you're aware of this, but if a client has over a thousand users, they get the 40% discount and they also automatically renew their underlying server licenses for free for one year. So, a customer can have both their cloud licensing, and their on-prem environments running in parallel. The renewal on the underlying licenses free for a year. So that gives us time to execute on that cloud migration.
Sarah:
Well, that's awesome. And there are a lot of benefits with working with the partner aside from figuring the licensing out and make that easier process for clients. Are there any other benefits from working with a partner like E7 for clients to make that move?
Pam:
Oh gosh, there's tons of benefits. We're having a webinar actually at the end of this month with Atlassian. And we're going to talk about the differentiators between running Atlassian onsite versus in the cloud. And so, there'll be joining us to, to go through a lot of the technical detail. And then the other thing is just the cost advantage. I mean, the ROI for moving to cloud is very compelling and I've seen that the E7 marketing team did a great job of building an ROI calculator.
Sarah:
Thank you. We did yeah. We just recently launched a cloud calculator, which will determine the ROI for clients that are looking to see how much the upfront cost of cloud would be versus what they're paying now for on-prem. And I'll tell you, Pam, there are a lot of customers that are really surprised at how much they don't realize they're spending on an on-premise workspace. So, could you tell me a little bit about how that cloud ROI works as far as that calculator goes?
Pam:
Yeah, they look at what their operational expenses are today. And like with Rockwell, for example, they went from six resources down to one, managing the environment. So the cost savings just on that is huge. And then we can show the cost of everything else that's included to the licensing, the ongoing support costs, everything all factored in together to give a customer a real good picture of what their cost savings is going to be.
Sarah:
That's great. Yeah. Rockwell is actually, it is published on Atlassian inside, I believe. So we're just going to check that story out. But on top of that, we do also have platinum solution partner on our title is some background and we have been nominated or awarded for partner of the year for cloud services back to back. The customers can really trust that we're going to give them a seamless and very high quality migration for them as well.
Pam:
That's right. It's the proven 6-step process that we take clients through so they can see the end to end roadmap of what it's going to take to migrate their apps to the cloud. And that's all we do. We're very good at that. Along with selling JIRA service management and implementing ITSM solutions. So that's really our focus at E7, and customers can talk to us if they want more information.
Sarah:
